Educators are hanging on by a thread. The world of education has turned into something unimaginable. Met with restrictions, funding limitations, and growing student needs, how can you do what you love with the same passion in which you started?
Issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma are real-life experiences for education professionals, and as a fellow educator, our therapist provides individual counseling that is specific to their needs.
Brittiny combines 10+ years of experience as a school counselor with proven therapeutic techniques to create a safe space for educators, allowing them to process their experiences, evaluate their needs, and establish boundaries that can help them navigate the teaching profession.
It’s the truth– life as a teen and young adult can be hard. There is so much happening in the world around us and trying to make sense of it all can be overwhelming.
How can you exercise, keep your grades up, work a job, volunteer, get accepted into college, and tend to your mental health when anxious thoughts are always clouding your mind? Not to mention, how do you get past those "depression slumps" when you don't feel like doing anything at all?
It can feel defeating when what's expected of you seems so out of reach, but there are methods to help you find balance and experience more happiness in your life. Our licensed therapist can show you where to start.
Congratulations, you have completed your credentialing, and you are one step closer to practicing on your own! At this pivotal moment in your career, we invite to you to consider partnering with us. Did you know that your thoughts, actions, and emotions are connected?
During our Cognitive Behavioral Therapy sessions, you will work with a therapist to identify unwanted behaviors, determine the thoughts and emotions that lead to those behaviors, and develop a plan to achieve desired outcomes by modifying your mindset and thought processes.
Symptoms of anxiety, depression, ADHD, and PTSD are often intertwined. This can lead to confusion as you try to manage daily stressors, life transitions, social interactions, school, work, etc. Our therapy sessions are a safe space to sort out the chatter in your mind and calm the jitters in your body. Throughout treatment, we will measure symptoms, learn coping strategies, and establish daily routines that promote your emotional wellness.
At Essence Counseling and Wellness, we pride ourselves on meeting clients where they are. No matter where you find yourself in life, we work with you to develop the mindset and behaviors necessary to live happier.
We know that work and life responsibilities are not always conducive to counseling, that’s why we deliver flexible options so time and distance constraints never prevent your access to treatment.
Essence Counseling and Wellness, PLLC offers in-network services through BCBS, Aetna and United Healthcare/Optum
